Making salt in Bac Lieu is one of the outstanding factors and it’s also the national culture of this place. It which was grown in years ago and became the traditional work of Bac Lieu citizens. Making salt in Bac Lieu has become a national intangible cultural heritage. To make salt, Bac lieu citizens have been through a lot of stages: First, they need to prepare the field.then stamp the sand, bring the brine to the field,and leave the sand under the sun shade until it’s totally dried and becomes salt. During the process, the “diem dan”, who makes salt, has to stay outside. The hotter it is, the better to make salt. Making salt also plays an important role in building our country.
